Hello friends!!! here comes my first story.
This is a story of two friends Radha and Katherine. Radha and Katherine are two childhood friends.They have been to the same school and to the same college.Both of them were exactly opposing characters but yet they managed to be the bestest of friends.Radha has always been the conservative types who gave prime importance to values and culture.She was the best student of her time and topped whichever exam she appeared in.She used to dress up in complete Indian attire as she belonged to a very conservative family where wearing anything other than a salwar was a crime.This wasn't a problem for her as she was always comfortable in it and being fashionable was never her cup of tea and books and studies took up most of her time.She had loving parents and also a caring younger brother.Her family was not a very rich one but still they had no complaints.
Katherine was diametrically opposite in nature.She believed life was for fun.She dressed up everyday believing it is the prime requirement of every human being to look beautiful.According to her it was a crime to be without make up and branded clothes.Studies was a waste of time for her. Even a venomous snake seemed more charming to her than mathematics and science.She somehow managed to pass her exams ,thanks to Radha ofcource.Exams was one of the reasons why Radha was such a great friend of hers ,another reason was Radha was like family to her as she didn't have a family of her own.Her parents were separated and she lived with her father who was more on business tours than at his home.Katherine father was rich and an ATM machine for her .Money was all Katherine desired and got from her father.Radha was her only source of love and companionship. She was happy to have love and money both,so what if they were from different sources.
It was the final year of college.Both Radha and Katherine were in the same section, or rather Radha was in BCA and Katherine was in whichever section Radha was. Radha was as usual in the library completing notes for two students Katherine and herself.All of a sudden Katherine appeared......"do you know what he just said!!!!!".......Radha glanced at her and went back to what she was doing.....
"c'mon Radha, leave this bullshit studies for a moment ,I have more important news for you..."........
"Kat you know the exams are round the corner and I still haven't finished.....and you haven't started as yet........"
"c'mon Radha darling take a chill pill...,I have some important news for you......"
"please don't disturb me yaar......"
"....it's regarding Ryan....darling......"
Radha closed her books and steadied herself.That word Ryan made all her seriousness evaporate like water from washed clothes,she had a secret crush on Ryan which no one knew ,not even Katherine. Well it wasn't that surprising as almost every girl in college had a crush on him,as he was the so called hunk.He never gave Radha a second look as brains and simplicity is all what Radha had, and non of them interested Ryan.
"what,tell me......"
"Ryan,proposed to me......"
"what.....when......I mean how......"
It was not surprising that Ryan proposed Katherine.If Ryan was the hunk then Katherine was the TVS Scooty pep of college.So,this was bound to happen.
"yesterday when we went for the dinner n date....oh it was so romantic Radha I just can't explain........." said Katherine
"So,what was your reply........"Radha asked anxiously although she knew the answer....
"Ofcourse I said yes , what else should I do dumbo....."
"Congrats Kat....."
"What happened Radha you look awful....aren't you happy?"
"ya I am happy.....it's just that......never mind...."
"Radha tell me yaar....."
"Kat I am getting married..."
"What,are you nuts......what the fuck.........you haven't finished your studies yet.... and what about your carrer.........you were going to do you MCA after graduation right.....what about that....."Katherine was so angry as if she herself was getting married to an old man.
"try to understand Kat, I belong to a middle class family....I have a younger brother.....my father has some responsibilities.............."
"Responsibilities my foot ........you are the best student in this entire college......and you are going to spend the rest of your life in a bloody kitchen.......I want to talk to uncle....."
"no Kat I've already said yes......the marriage is soon after the exams ....the date is finalized......"
"what the fuck......your marriage date is finalized and you are telling me know......I thought we were friends Radha........and who are you going to marry?......Hrithik Roshan........"
Hrithik's name made thing lighter a bit.....
"No,Hes more handsome............"Radha said with a smile
"So I see , Radha doing kaho na pyar hai with Hrithik Roshan......
I just can't how you people do this arrange marriage stuff.......you studied so hard for this fucking twenty years just to marry a ..............by the why what does Mr Hrithik Roshan do other than dancing around trees?..."
"he works in a private firm and has a modest salary....."
"Ok Radha whatever you say ,but I believe you wasted a life......you could have easily had a great career....and earned millions........."
"Career is not the only thing in life Kat......you need to have a good family.....at the end of the family is what you live for.......,and I believe you said yes to Ryan,...so when are you people going to get married?"
"married....are you nuts you are telling the future supermodel of India to get married so soon............by,the way I forgot to tell you the second good news........I have been selected by a modeling agency for an aad campaign......"
"what?.....and what about your exams and what about Ryan?........"
"Exams are of least importance now......lets see if I get time.......and yes I am moving in with Ryan the next week......"
"Moving in......what do you mean by moving in......."
"well me and Ryan are going to live together now...........hes going to do his MBA and I am going to my modeling ....and both of us are going to have fun........"
"Kat you are very lucky I must say.........have you asked your father?"
"what father? I have no father.......you were my father........and secondly I have my own life and I'll decide how to live it......"
"ok, Kat whatever you say .........but you are going to attend my marriage right?...."
"Ofcourse darling.........abhi to Hrithik Roshan ko bhi dekhna hai........"
They both broke into a laughter, happy with their lives and whatever it had in store for them..............
